In an effort to fix my vacuum, I designed and ordered these parts from an overseas contract manufacturer.
The vacuum’s head is supposed to fit into a slot on its body and hold the arm up, but the extrusion had worn down and it would topple over randomly.
I ended up going with the 3D printed stainless steel version of the part as the nylon ones were not quite rigid or strong enough.

I used an M2 stainless steel bolt as a way to connect the part to the vacuum. All in all, these prints cost me $8 including shipping.
And the final result, my vacuum is functional!

This was my first time learning how to do any kind of CAD modelling. It was not too difficult and quite fun!
